Technique studies
This a brief look at some small projects I’ve done. in order to develop specific skills or better my understanding of tool & programs. I find the best way for me to learn new skills is through experimentation.

This project was to develop my skills within photoshop & finding officiant ways of editing photos ,removing/ adding elements to existing images in a realistic way.
This was a project for a local business that wanted there original hand painted sign recreated digitally & printed to replace the old & damaged sign. this was tricky in many ways. The sign was very faded & damages so filling in the gaps & imagine what the sign looked like when it was first painted was important. I thought about originally using brushes in photoshop to trace over & produce a painted affect. Although I think the end result of this would have been better I was also working on a tight schedule so I decided to trace it using illustrator utilising the trace tool & cleaning up edges & shading. I think the end result works well & is a faithful recreation of the sign in question.
